Job Description
The Underwriter role is a key member of our team that helps source and place files with various lenders. Our team has a very detail-oriented system that requires our underwriters to work on specific aspects of each file while being supported by a minimum of 2 other team members.
Applicants should have the following attributes:
Mortgage licensing in BC is required
Require a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Lender or Mortgage Broker Underwriter. (References Needed)
Handle all underwriting and lender communication for a high producing mortgage team
Ability to communicate with mortgage clients
Knowledge of underwriting & lender policies
Expertise in the alternative, private and construction financing would be an asset
Strong understanding of technology
Able to adapt to change and heavy workloads
Strong work ethic
Detail-oriented
Task & time management
Able to handle administrative duties in an organized, efficient and accurate manner
A team player with strong interpersonal skills
Willing to research mortgage-related topics and present in a concise manner
Provide training to mortgage brokers on an array of different topics and concepts
Compensation:
Annual Compensation:
Base Salary Plus Incentive & Performance Bonus
$60,000.00 to $90,000.00/year with opportunity to grow
Experience:
Mortgage licensing in BC is required
Looking for minimum of 3 years experience as a Lender or Mortgage Broker Underwriter.
